How To Make Strawberry Mojito Kombucha

Making strawberry mojito Kombucha is not complicated at all, but you do need to pay attention to the Kombucha that you will be using for this recipe. Unlike other flavored Kombucha recipes, this recipe requires Kombucha that has finished second fermentation.

Kombucha undergoes two fermentation processes which are the first fermentation or F1 and second fermentation or F2. The first fermentation of Kombucha is done to convert the sweet tea into Kombucha with the use of a SCOBY. Second fermentation on the other hand is done for flavoring and carbonating Kombucha. This fermentation process takes place after first fermentation. To know more about second fermentation, you may consult our complete guide here

If you don’t have a homebrewed Kombucha that has finished second fermentation, you may use commercial Kombucha instead. In the last part of this recipe, we have some featured Kombucha products that you can use to make this delicious cocktail drink.

How to level up the taste

Using a strawberry flavored Kombucha for strawberry mojito Kombucha can help bring out more strawberry flavors in the drink. The strawberry in the Kombucha can also add extra health benefits. If the taste of strawberry mojito Kombucha is too strong for you or you just simply want to cut down on the alcohol or Kombucha, you can add a splash of sparkling water. This gives your mojito a milder yet still bubbly taste.

Another excellent way to level up the taste of this drink is adding some fruits. We particularly love adding some extra berries like raspberries and blackberries for more sweetness and flavors.

If you like to enjoy a sweeter strawberry mojito Kombucha, you may add some simple syrup for sweetness. To make a simple syrup. You will just need 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar. For additional flavor, you may use lemon juice and mint leaves. To make a simple syrup, simply boil your ingredients in a saucepan until the sugar is dissolved. Cool down your mixture and add it to your drinks as you desire.
