How To Make Watermelon Kombucha
Watermelon Kombucha is relatively easy to make and only requires watermelon and Kombucha that has finished first fermentation.
Kombucha is a fermented drink that undergoes two fermentation processes namely first fermentation (F1) and second fermentation (F2). The first fermentation is done to convert the sweet tea into Kombucha with the use of Kombucha culture or SCOBY. After the first fermentation process, the second fermentation follows. Second fermentation is meant for flavoring and carbonating Kombucha. If you haven’t done second fermentation before, you may refer to our complete detailed guide here.

How to level up the taste
Blending the watermelon is the best way to get the flavor from your watermelon. If the watermelon is not sweet enough for you, you may add about ⅛ cup of sugar. The sugar will boost the yeast activity in the Kombucha resulting in a much sweeter and stronger taste.
You can also level up the taste of watermelon Kombucha by adding fresh mint leaves. Simply blend your watermelon with mint or add one to two mint leaves for each bottle. The mint leaves will give the Kombucha a more refreshing flavor.
