How To Make Raspberry Lemon Lime Kombucha

Raspberry Lemon Lime Kombucha is an easy-to-make flavored Kombucha drink that you can definitely make at home. This recipe requires four main ingredients namely raspberry, lemon, lime, and Kombucha which has finished its first fermentation.

Kombucha is a health-boosting beverage that mainly undergoes two fermentation processes which are first fermentation (F1) and second fermentation (F2). During the first fermentation, the sweet tea is converted to Kombucha by the Kombucha culture or SCOBY. After the first fermentation, Kombucha undergoes second fermentation for flavoring and carbonation. If you haven’t done second fermentation before, you may check our complete guide here for reference.

How to level up the taste

Raspberry lemon lime Kombucha already has an amazing flavor combination that is already a treat for every Kombucha lover. However, if you want to make your raspberry lemon lime Kombucha extra powerful, here are some things you can do to level up its taste.

Instead of fresh ingredients, you can use store-bought raspberry, lemon, and lime juices. Store-bought or commercial juices tend to have added sugar. The sugar in these drinks can boost yeast activity and give Kombucha a stronger taste.

You may also add some booze to your raspberry lemon lime Kombucha to make a Kombucha margarita. To make this drink, simply mix 2 to 3 oz. of tequila and a splash of triple sec and lime juice to 6 oz. of raspberry lemon lime Kombucha. Don’t forget some lime and mint for garnish.

Another great way to level up the taste of this Kombucha drink is by cooking the raspberries with ⅛ cup of sugar and some water. Simply cook the raspberries until the sugar has dissolved and the raspberries have broken down. The sugar in the cooked raspberries can boost yeast activity and Kombucha’s taste as well.
